Etsy over and out?

I sell stuff....see it on the side bar? And I love Etsy, I really, really do.
But I'm not sure how much longer I go about flogging a dead horse?
I have had one sale this year (!)
Does anyone have any suggestions?...What about MadeIt in Australia for you Aussie peeps, do you have better luck there?...or does anyone use Bigcartel?

  1. I have had good experience with madeit, I only started at the beginning of the year and I sold already 3 items and had a couple of orders ! etsy is soo big, there is soo much stuff, difficult to get through al the things on offer! Good Luck!

  2. I sell on madeit. I love everything about it. I love the ease it has to set up shop, the help you get on the forum, the free advertising on their blog and especially the friends I have made. Go for it.

  3. I've also had an excellent exprience with Made It. I figured my items would get lost on Etsy, there is just so much. The marketing and emails etc is excellent on Made it, and I guess because it is smaller, it easier to have your items featured. Just wish I had more time to put things in my shop. Good luck! Marita

  4. I haven't tried Madeit (though perhaps I should given that it's all Australian and I only ship within Australia)... I hear good things about BigCartel although I understand that it takes a bit of extra promotional work because it doesn't have the network that etsy does. I love your stuff Luisa, don't give up... I am sure you will find your niche. How do markets go for you? xo

  5. I decided to empty my etsy shop for the time being after not much success there. Madeit has worked fairly well for me and i find that much more encouraging. I have an account with bigcartel but haven't set it up yet. Good luck deciding.

  6. I've wondered about this question also. Sounds like Madeit could be worthwhile, although the few sales I've had, were from US. I've noticed some people use both.

  7. I have never heard of Madeit, but do have an Etsy site and am wondering if I too am flogging a dead horse. I have sold some on Etsy, but it seems one needs to be at it non-stop with promotion to sell. It has become like E-bay, so much for sale, and for so many of us there is not enough time to put into it...after all, we need time to make the stuff we sell!I actually do much better selling at bazaars and shows.
