eames is child's play

What do you get when you combine mid century architecture with a child's toy?
This...
Inspired by this...
The Eames house was was constructed in 1949 by husband-and-wife design pioneers Charles and Ray Eames, to serve as their home and studio.
It was built as part of a series of case study houses sponsored by a US journal, Arts and Architecture, the aim of the project was to foster innovative design, and they were particularly interested in using new materials and techniques.

It was built in a pre-fab sort of way, with glass and panels, separated by an open court.
It overlooks Santa Monica and the Pacific Ocean...

You may think it was decorated in a minimalist style...
not so....
