my creative space - combining fabrics

Just a little preview on a dress I am making for my little girl...the thing I love most about sewing is combining colour and pattern.   These three fabrics are what I had in my stash, and when I can find that winning combination, it just makes my heart sing!

hope you are all having a great week everyone, time for my morning coffee  (bit late this morning), and to pat a rabbit.

  7. Beautiful, scrummy fabrics! Should be a very pretty dress. We had baked nectarines for dessert last Thurs and quiche for dinner Friday, yum!. Thanks for that - thinking of what to have for dinner is not my fav thing in the world. Enjoy your sewing!

Going to be tidying up my 'creative space' today. Any tips on storing fabric???

ps. Twitter is fun, maybe you should try it again.. I follow lots of magazines, tassie bloggers, crafters etc. good fun, then again it is a bit of a distraction!

  11. Love the colour combo, I love the idea of putting different patterns together but I'm always just a little scared. Thanks for the merchandising tips, I'm going to try out some fresh ideas this weekend and I'll let you know how I go.
